Sponsorship Update – January 2014
Dear Friends of Project Chacocente:
Thank you so much for your continuing support of Project Chacocente! Your sponsorship is truly making a difference in the WHOLE life of your child. Thank you to all those who continued to support our children in 2013. Please let us know if you plan to continue your sponsorship for 2014 so that we can continue to provide a quality education for our students. Our school is truly making a difference not only for the families of Project Chacocente, but for the families in the surrounding communities. This school year (beginning in February) we will be offering Eleventh Grade and will have our first high school graduating class next December.
NOTE: If you would like to send a small package or letter to your child(ren), please get it to Mary Beth Kelley at the address below by Monday, February 10. She will take it with her on her trip to Chacocente, February 15-22.
Below are pictures from December 2013 of our kindergarten and sixth grade graduating classes!
Urgent!
Additional sponsors are still needed to provide the necessary funds to run the school for the coming year. If you know someone who might be interested in sponsoring a child for $360 a year, have them contact us at [email protected]. See the following for teacher sponsorships.
Sponsors Needed for Chacocente Christian School!
We are very proud of the devotion and expertise of our teachers. Aiming to provide academic opportunities far above those available at state-run schools, we hire only qualified, capable Christian teachers. We recognize that most teachers in Nicaragua are grossly underpaid (earning less than sweat shop workers) and we are committed to fairly compensating our employees.
We’re hoping you will help us! Please consider sponsoring a teacher! Your $500 monthly sponsorship will better the lives of not only the teacher but also the lives of his or her students. Join together with friends and churches to truly make a lasting effect.

Adult Education Scholarships
Several young people at Project Chacocente are interested in continuing education and we want to help them! Education will increase their self-esteem and job marketability. Can you help anyone below?
- José Luis would like to take an advanced computer training course for $50/month
- Madeling would like support for her Teacher School courses of $48/month
Partial scholarships, as well as full scholarships, are greatly appreciated. For details, email Robyn Gage at [email protected].
